LPKF SolarQuipment is a subsidiary of LPKF Laser & Electronics AG and is especially focused on the needs of the solar power industry. LPKF SolarQuipment develops systems for the laser structuring and mechanical structuring of thin film solar cells. The systems are developed and produced in Suhl/ Germany.

LPKF Laser & Electronics AG's core competencies in laser technology, include expertise in laser material processing, motion and control systems, and its long standing experience with the production of laser systems for large area micro processing, makes it a natural fit for the development of production equipment for laser structuring thin-film solar cells.

The LPKF SolarQuipment application center in Garbsen, Germany processes thin film solar cells for research and development applications as well as customer ramp-up production. The customer is accompanied throughout the process, from technology consultation to product completion.
