The Presto laser scriber is a compact lab system for research and development. It allows for reliable, precise and quick scribing of thin-film solar modules in CdTe-, aSi/µSi- and CIGS substrates. The system is designed for ultimate flexibility and is especially suited for determining optimal process parameters for series production. All parameters can be transferred directly to Allegro laser scribers.
Different laser sources
The LPKF Presto can be equipped with several different laser sources (355, 532 and/or 1064 nm), pulse lengths (nano-/picoseconds), different optical configurations and a mechanical machining head. Combining the different configurations provides for a wide range of possible parameters.
Full flexibility: scribing from the film or non-film side of the glass
High performance: scribe substrates at up to 2 m/s
Precision guide: built-in image referencing system used to determine the coordinates for P2/P3 and for optical inspection
Clean process: reliable vacuuming and filtration of ablation products
